The population of the Nashville-Davidson Metropolitan
Statistical Area (MSA) was estimated by the Census
Bureau at 1,288,051 residents as of July 2003. That was
an increase of 1.4 percent from a year earlier and an
increase of 4.6 percent since the 2000 Census. The
current rate of population change between 1990-00 (over
two percent per year), if continued, would result in a
population in 2025 of 2,150,600 residents. That is 74.7
percent larger than the 2000 population.
